視覚と聴覚にまたがる音声知覚、音声生成、音声認識、トーキングヘッドなどに関して、音声科学、心理学、脳科学、ロボット工学などから学際的に議論することを目的としており、シングルセッションで進行いたします。例年の参加者は、70～100名程度で、ヨーロッパの研究者が多く参加します。スピーチにとどまらず、感情表現といった点も含めて、幅広いテーマの発表をお待ちしています。

Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to submit a paper for the AVSP 2010 (the 9th International Conference on Auditory-Visual Speech Processing), held Sept 30 - Oct 3, (right after INTERSPEECH 2010) in Hakone, near Tokyo. 4 to 6 page papers should be submitted by May 14, 2010.

Papers on auditory-visual speech production, perception and recognition by human and computer are encouraged to submit. We hope lively interdisciplinary discussion.

The conference will consist of not only regular presentations (both oral and poster) but also lectures by invited speakers.

Hakone is one of the most attractive resort areas in Japan. A block of rooms in the Prince Hakone have been booked, so you are welcome to bring your family!

Note: The venue is about 3 hour trip from Makuhari Convention Center or Narita (Tokyo) International Airport.
